If evil infests Christian churches, does it also infest God?
Are the churches our gods, or do they only monopolize the name of God for their own gains?
Perhaps if we listen to Jesus, we will find the truth…
“And when you pray, do not be as the hypocrites are, for they love to pray standing in the churches and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, they have their reward. But you, when you pray, enter into your closet, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father which is in secret; and your Father which see in secret shall reward you openly.”
We do not need churches or other organizations for prayer or spiritual righteousness. If we allow ourselves to personally identify with groups we do not control, we only serve in allowing those groups to control us.
Jesus was executed for speaking these truths and for empowering spiritual individualism, for instilling in us the belief that God is alive in every one of us…lest we forget…
