A new executive push seeks to blur the line between the U.S. military and local police forces, creating third-world style cities under the guise of safety and order.
In our rapidly forming new-normal-world-order, the cautions of old – “Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety” (Benjamin Franklin), are being replaced by the dictates of today – “You can do whatever the hell you want to do” (Donald Trump addressing his proposed paramilitary forces).
So in the coming years, will the flags be waving in celebration as the new black-clad, visored and masked forces come parading through our city streets or will we look on with fear and distrust… as the new-normal-world-order comes marching home.
