AS THE PENDULUM SWINGS…

As the reigns of ever-expanding federal power swing to the other side of our contrived political spectrum during yet another “national crisis”, “the right” piles on:
“Anti-Americanism, anti-capitalism, anti-Christianity, extremism on migration, race, and gender and hostility towards those who hold traditional American views on family, religion, and morality” are the new broad-term adjectives to be added to the lexicon of “enemies of the United States” alongside the recently annointed; “ultra-MAGA republicans, anti-vaxers” and of course the old Constitution-circumventing stalwarts – “TERRORISTS“.
So as we Americans become slowly desensitized to federal overreach and our utter lack of personal liberty and privacy in the new “digital age”, we can all be warmed by the words of that staunch humanitarian Rahm Emanuel when he lovingly declared “You never want a serious crisis to go to waste“.
Indeed, I’m sure that is what Mr. Kirk’s grieving wife is having engraved on his tombstone at this very moment…
