An oligarchy is a form of government in which only a chosen few are allowed to rule.

In this country, any citizen is allowed to petition the people for public office. If the majority wish to leave it in the hands of a chosen few, then that majority has no one to blame but themselves.

Saying that it is impossible is just an excuse not to try.

    That is true and that has happened here to a large extent, but only because we the people have allowed it to happen.
    
    In the U.S.A. we have had and still possess the power, ability and authority to occupy the positions of power in our government or even to dissolve them. The fact is, we as a people have been conditioned by the schools and propagandized by the media into believing that we are best served by allowing career politicians and bureaucrats to run our government when it should be we the people occupying every position.
    
    Until we all awake to that realization evil, which is naturally drawn towards positions of power, will rule.

    That is a catchy saying, but it is actually the law and all we have to do is go to our local city or town hall and sign up. It’s that simple, but most of us can’t be bothered with our own self-rule, which allows others with agendas to take over our government.
